hey all, playing around with the python monero sdk, and i wanted to know why the rpc server locks your balance up after sending a transaction. is it to stop double spending with the unconfirmed mempool transactions? thanks

new outputs require 10 confirmations to become available to spend. this is for stability since txs can be invalidated with reorg

is it necessary to be running the cli wallet +RPC server on device? is it possible to run the entire wallet off of a public node (using the mnemonic key or something for auth) ?
