Monero circular economy when

Gumroad, but using XMR.
-
mechanic41turk[m
Would be great to see someone spinning up such a platform.
-
mechanic41turk[m
Especially considering the popularity of gumroad among the internet/twitter/youtube grifters... such a platform can easily put monero into the mind-space of as much normie consoomers and content-creators alike.
-
gingeropolous
mechanic41turk[m, and those reorgs are why you can't spend your coins until 10 confirms after you receive
-
gingeropolous
well wrong mechanimist[m]
-
gingeropolous
too many mechanics
-
mechanimist[m]
ah cool, makes a lot of sense
-
mechanic41turk[m
gingeropolous: lol
-
mechanimist[m]
so actually whenever I spend any monero my entire wallet balance seems to get locked until the confirmations come in, not just the amount that I spent
-
mechanimist[m]
i'm not sure why that would be
-
mechanimist[m]
idk, is that how it's supposed to work?
-
gingeropolous
yeah, thats because all of your monero is in one output
-
mechanimist[m]
is the rest getting sent back to a "change address" or something like that?
-
gingeropolous
so the transaction has to eat that output as an input, and then spit out two new outputs - one to wherver your sending it, and the other is change
-
gingeropolous
so yes, change
-
mechanimist[m]
i see
-
gingeropolous
you can avoid this lock by creating a stack of outputs
-
LyzaLittle
the GUI imo does a disservice by hiding the outputs entirely
-
mechanimist[m]
in a world where people use monero for day to day street transactions i wonder what people would do
-
LyzaLittle
can't really see what you've got
-
gingeropolous
well, the gui is meant to be simple
-
gingeropolous
perhaps they are viewable in advanced mode?
-
LyzaLittle
they are not unfortunately
-
gingeropolous
output management has been talked about for advance mode
-
LyzaLittle
would be a big change though Ik
-
LyzaLittle
but yeah though if you've got 4-5 outputs in your wallet you can go on a shopping spree no problem, and that's a lot easier now that the GUI supports multiple outputs
-
gingeropolous
have any other GUI wallets done it? That way we could see how the UI is done
-
gingeropolous
but the UI on that would be the primary hurdle prolly
-
LyzaLittle
<gingeropolous> feather wallet has output management but it's styled after electrum so I dunno how helpful it would be from a design perspective
-
gingeropolous
gotcha
-
LyzaLittle
if you're curious though it looks like this, just a separate tab that lists outputs. you can sweep an output, plus freeze/thaw

LyzaLittle
they turn blue when frozen

I’m trying to make a CCS MR but gitlab says I’ve reached my project limit (0?). Anybody know how to resolve this?
-
selsta
bevanoff[m]: don't sign up using github acc
-
bevanoff[m]
selsta: ty
-
selsta
it can be fixed if you message moneromooo
-
selsta
but it is easier to just create gitlab acc
-
bevanoff[m]
Nah it’s okay I just registered a new account

I’ve opened a CCS MR in which I seek funding to work on putting together a good user friendly implementation of 2/2 multisig and 2/3 multisig in the core GUI wallet as well as some other smaller GUI things. I’d appreciate a look and any comments/criticism :)
