I was interested in the growth numbers. It looks like the only publically available numbers are the r/monero subscriber stats

We don't have numbers because matomo has been down since it was integrated (it never worked). Hopefully it will be fixed soon, i'll ping pigeons in a bit

I've been thinking on a way to avoid this kind of problem and the only thing that i can come up with is simply to reduce the amount of exchanges we add. We would do so by making a quick research on the merchant, if they have no history or we find scam claims, we don't list them.

Red flags could be exchanges which are named in a way that would make them result at the top of the page. Like this new one: monero-project/monero-site #1524

^ this one has them all: no history and a name that make them jump directly at the top of the list

please let me know your opinions about this, so i can make it "official" by adding it to the readme.

I would still leave all warnings about the fact that we do no vetting

I would prefer to leave any listed red flags as vague as possible, so it's not obvious what to do to appear legit. Can add something about it being up to our discretion
