Mullvad uses their own checkout system, not stripe or any other crappy business. As a result, you can pay with a prepaid mastercard of visa gift card. As long as you account for the conversion fee, it'll be accepted.

It's about as private as you can get unless you do cash by mail.

You know, until Monero gets accepted. I seriously want it to be added but I don't know if the team has any plans to even implement it.

Oh, and just because prepaid mastercard and visa gift cards are weird sometimes, make sure it says that you can pay in other currencies on the back. It'll normally say something along the lines of "Paying in other currencies will result in an x% fee" or something about being allowed internationally.

If you want to go a step further, make sure the gift card is purchased with cash as well. It's not a perfect solution but for Mullvad it's the best solution I found because I'm rather uncomfortable sending cash in the mail internationally.

Well, they do have an extremely strong privacy-focused logging system. Not sure if you know but their logs are stored as your account number, whether or not it is paid for, and when it is paid until. I've been tempted a few times to try out iVPN just because it makes it easier for me since I can pay directly with XMR. Downside is that unlike Mullvad where the source code is available for everyone to see, iVPN only has open source applications and websites and close source server code.

Speaking of closed source server code, it's the reason I am so afraid to use Tutanota and Protonmail.
