I don't think it will show you after initialization. I think you'd have to re-initialzie the trezor to set a new seed? but you'd need to sweep whatever funds are on there to a different wallet first. Idk, this is more an issue for Ledger support TBH. Every coin you keep ojn your ledger shares the same 24 word key so this isn't even Monero specific

network upgrades are announced weeks in advance. everyone gets the newest version of code sooner or later

Yes, you might have a two year time to expected block or the like when miming solo. But if you do get a block, you get the whole block reward, not just a tiny morsel like you do when pool mining. It's a choice.

A pool miner like xmrig also hashes faster than monerod (but you can use xmrig to solo mine too, by connecting it to moenrod instead of a pool).

So, solo is lottery, pool is drudgery for scraps.

I was mining on a pool that had a 0.5xmr pay threshold. so it would still take forever to get a payment

I have tried but it bombs out im sure its the node not been complete. It also bans me every odd minute restart the node then its good but ill chat assoon as its done i ended up downloading the whole block and should be done tnght.

I want to create a view-only wallet to monitor/verify transactions for my ecommerce store. Does this wallet need to be password protected? The password would need to live on the server anyway in order to verify the incoming transactions

I got it running on OpenBSD, compiling it myself.

I'm sure there aren't plans for most things. people just do them as they see the need.

Keeping the monero hashrate decentralized is much more easy than doing so in bitcoin.

However, new miners should pick medium to small pools for it.

Moneroge: you get paid the same on any pool (arbitrage miners sort this out) so picking a small pool wont lower your payout
