People tend to disregard BCH as just BTC with bigger blocks but there is a lot more too BCH

Well, Monero is a decentralized file store for one big, append only (or close to it) file.

AIUI, when you lookup some data on ipfs, a DHT tells you where to look - usually the original publisher of that data.

So for transactions, it'd make things worse than what we have now, where this information is not part of the protocol.
