hello. When closing monerod with openrc the program does something weird and writes a lot of what seems to be blockchain data in my var dir. It filled up my entire / partition but thankfully I noticed quickly. Is this intended behaviour?

It is supposed to fill up your disk with ~ 100 GB, in ~/.bitmonero (or what you give as --data-dir). Though not after closing.

yeah I understand, Im caught up on the blockchain too. however, whenever I run sudo rc-service monerod stop it it randomly outputs about 20GiB(the amount I have left in my / partition) of data into my /var folder

the fire hierarchy looks the same as the one in ~/.bitmonero so I guess its blockchain data
